On a cool Memphis morning, beneath the golden hush of falling leaves, a respected church Bishop sits alone on a park bench, savoring the stillness that only comes after decades of hard-won redemption. Thirty years preaching the Word, baptizing souls, and building a life of peace and purpose — or so it seems. Then she arrives - a strikingly attractive young woman. What begins as a curious conversation slowly shifts into something darker, deeper, and far more dangerous than the Bishop ever imagined.

Event Description

"Tigone," written by Memphis' own Levi Frazier, is a Suspenseful, Soul-Stirring Tale of Secrets, Sin, and the Search for Justice.

This meeting is no accident. It’s an appointed time. And as the dialogue between the two unfolds, buried truths rise from the grave.

Can redemption exist without a reckoning?
And when the time for justice comes, who decides the price to be paid?

Masterfully performed by Michelle E. Mitchell and Lawrence Blackwell, "Tigonie" grips the audience from the first word to the last breath. With echoes of Greek tragedy and the weight of a Sunday sermon, this production will prove to be an experience worth discussing.
