Presented by the Access Unity and Development Collective (AUD), Langston Hughes’ Black Nativity comes alive in Memphis this December under the co-direction of Cleavon Meabon, IV (Executive Producer) and Justin Allen Tate. With musical direction by Ashley K. Davis and choreography by Emma Crystal, this vibrant retelling of the Nativity story fuses gospel, movement, and poetry to celebrate faith, hope, and the power of community.

Set against Memphis’ legendary gospel roots, Black Nativity invites performers and audiences alike into a space of joy, healing, and collective praise.

Auditions: October 27 & 29, 6–8 PM at First Presbyterian Church (166 Poplar Ave).
